hi all,
ive ordered an XFX 7950 GX2 which is due tomorrow, my motherboard is an Asus P5WDG2 professional, ive just seen at Dabs.com some talk that the above card will only work with an SLI board (which the Asus P5WDG2 isnt) is this the case, or should it be ok ?????? ive checked the nvidia site, and they say the above graphics card will work with any PCI-express motherboard, which is what i understood before ordering the card.
can anyone here put my mind at rest please ??????

No need to cross your finger, it will be fine. If it says it's compatible on nvidia's website, then it is.:)
At worst you might need a bios update on your mobo. The only other thing to be aware of is the sheer size of the card, it's an absolute monster. My housemate had to remove his hard disk tray and move a whole load of wiring to fit it in.
ok cheers for the advise, i should be ok for room, ive got the bare minimum in there, two hard drives, bottom front of case and one DVD drive, top front. ive just been to the Asus website and downloaded the latest bios which ive put on a flash card as i understand ill be able to flash it from that (never flashed my mobo bios before) using the Asus easy flash utility.
card should have turned up today but didnt :mad: tomorrow with a bit of luck then i can put it in and connect everything up.
