    Question Low-end AGP upgrade

Hello guys, I am planning to upgrade my Graphix card, and looking at spending approximately £50. For this money I can get a 6600GT from ebay, which seems to be a decent card. The thing is I don't know anything about ATI cards. Do you thing I should prefer something from ATi at the same price range?

I will also make a major upgrade (MB+CPU+RAM+GFX) in about 10 months from now, so I am not looking at anything too expensive, and it would be nice to get a card with some re-sell value. I currently have the GF4 Ti4200 which has served me well, and was worth every penny I spent on it 4 years ago, that's why the first thing I can think of is GeForce again.

Thanks for the info. The truth is that 9800 pro is an extremely old card, and although it might have good performance it just doesn't feel right to buy something this old. I also cannot find anything about Windows Vista compatibility. The Scan deal seems to me too good to be true, and as it is constantly Out of stock, I wouldn't bet on it becoming available, although Scan are a respectable store. The specs of the card on the website are also wrong, as I pointed out in another thread. But if some people get it and it works I might choose to buy it.

Yeah it would be nice if I could get 7300GT for AGP for 50 quid. For the time being I am looking at a new 6600GT or a x800 pro from ebay (from US or Germany, but too ambitious for my budget). If I see that I can't get close to a x800 I 'll go for the 6600GT.
