BFG Technology 7950GT vs Leadtek 7950GT

Does anyone recommend one of the following cards? Which is better?

Looking at performance, noise (how loud) and reliability.

    512MB BFG Technology 7950GT Overclocked, PCI-E (x16), Mem 1430MHz, GPU 565MHz, 24Pipes Dual DVI/HDTV £205.38

    Vs

    512MB Leadtek 7950GT, PCI-E (x16), Mem 1400 MHz, GPU 550 MHz, 24 Pipes, 2xDual Link DVI-I/HDTV £208.90

Or shall i save some money and go for the 256MB Leadtek 7950GT, PCI-E (x16), Mem 1400 MHz, GPU 550 MHz, 24 Pipes, 2xDual Link DVI-I/HDTV? for £168.95.

The card must only take up one slot unlike the Gainward.

    Thanks

I would go for an X1900XT 256MB or wait for the single slot X1950Pro.. but if you still insist on Nvidia, I would just go for the Leadtek.. 15MHz core and 30MHz memory aint worth the money..

I'm not a big fan of lifetime warranty too.. well.. lets just say I dont keep my cards to long..
    Me want Ultrabook

The Gainward is dual slot (I have one, admittedly it's cooler is sitting on my desk). Dont bother with an overclocked one, you can do it yourself(and much better), in about 30seconds. I'd get a 512mb one as some games want that much for the highest settings. (CoH, GRAW, DOOMIII)

You want this one, http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=468678 completely silent, and kinda single slot, really going to depend on your case, the back heatsink is quite big. Otherwise, just get the cheapest single slot one.

    Thanks

By the way the X1900XT 256MB uses two slots, where as the ones i am looking for only use a single slot.

http://www.neoseeker.com/Articles/Ha...950gtxt/2.html Theres some shots of the rear heatsink, No idea if it will fit in a shuttle. I've never had an trouble with XFX, some people dont like them though, but thats true of almot all companies.

I too am looking for a high performance single slot gfx card for a G series Shuttle. After a bit of research, and as confirmed in the thread, I'd be looking at either a 7950gt or the soon to be released x1950pro. I'm quite torn, the 1950's performance is only really estimated at the moment, but its believed to be very close to 1900xt speeds, which would be very good considering the estimated 140-150-ish price tag. I think the 7950gt is also close to 1900xt speeds, but is alot more expensive.

That cooler on the XFX looks interesting, it COULD fit a shuttle but would take up the PCI slot which is behind the PCI-e.

Yeh i know it would it take up the PCI slot but i dont really mind.

When does that new ATI card get released? and is it single slot as most of the ATI cards use doulble slot?

I dont know whether to go with the XFX or go with Asus ???

Or wait for the ATI lol

    What do u think?

    Cheers for any replies

    Aria.co.uk, misco.co.uk, komplett.co.uk, kustompcs.co.uk

Kustom only seem to have Club3d cards, but, they might be able to source the card for you.

And then I'd phone round your local friendly PC shops - there's quite around here that have the high end stuff in stock at good prices.
