no, not dell, just some generic thing for resetting the dvi, it didnt work on my viewsonic, but other people had success with it, so its got to be worth a try. does the screen work with just vga? i managed to fix mine the first time by plugging both of the leads into the monitor (dvi + vga at the same time) and cycling a few times.

I have had a new 3007 delivered onto site today and the seller reckons mine wasn't faulty? I am planning on testing with a gen4 XPS unit and will report back.

I think the seller is talking rubbish as ANY monitor should display BIOS information?

relief! I do not need to buy a new PC, the screen is working great on my home set up, just needs a bit more speed from a quad core and a Geforce 8800.......argh.....

i had some similar problems with mine, taking the power out and putting it back in made it work, you dont need a dual link graphics card to use resolutions of 1280*800 and below on the monitor

Back to the 3007, I noticed there is some discolouration in the bottom 3rd especially in Excel, Greys turn to a more muddy gold and gridlines take on a mix of blue and yellow. Cant say ive noticed this in the general usage except some text (outlook particularly) takes on 3 colours (black yellow and blue)

    Any ideas?

Also, does anyone have a link to the control software files? I have the INF driver but dont seem to have the software.

The prices of 8800's at europc are a bit more reasonable btw, check the bargain section for a link.
