Is there any products that have a scart cable on them ? ie hauppage or somthing, my plan was to get a tv card and the card would display from the ntl cable box.

I take it the NTL device that you plug into the TV is scart only, no analog output? You could use the little scart boxes with 2x sound +composite/SVideo output converters that are available in any store. Comet, dixons, pcworld etc.

I would guess pretty much any vivo/TV tuner card is going to have SVideo/composite in. Both my old GF4 and new radion AIW can accept Svideo in - ie. I could take the scart output from an video and still plug it into the old leadtech GF4 ok.

I dont have NTL so I dont know what tD5 means when he says its encoded.

I belive the signal is encoded using an enctyption system called nagaravison to stop it being freely watched without a subscription card but as long as your just taking the signal from the outputting scart and putting it in to your grapgics card to watch is should work beacuse by that time it's already been decoded for your tv to display so should be fine to watch.
