Is my X1950 XTX running at full speed?

Only ask as I was poking around in CCC and I noticed that the Currnet VPU Clock speed and the Current Memory Clock speed are lower than they are supposed to be? And that the speeds listed in the requested box are the speeds that the card should be running at.

Do I need to slide the bars up to get the current speeds to match the requested?

I don't know why I pushed the unlock button, just thought I would see what it does.

Them are the 2D clocks my friend.

Run a 3d application you will see the mhz rise.

I was running wow at the time, does that count?

Those are the exact same clocks I have got when in windows but when I play CoH it shoots up.

not exactly the same becuase mine is 10C cooler

56c under load for a GFX card is nothing anyway, so I'm not fussed about that. It's around 43c when on desktop, a lot lower than my X850 XT PE used to run at

I only really play wow, is there anyway to know for sure if it's running at full speed? I guess I could uninstall the drivers and CCC and reinstall and don't unlock the OC options.

Whack the speeds up to around 675/1070 and then run 3D Mark

You'll soon realise that the card is going full speed by the noise it will start making

Does the His iceq 3 make as much noise? (on the x1900xt)

You'll probably need to have the 3D app on screen for the clocks to rise. Try ATiTool, it has a 3D view built in and lists all the clocks separetly.
