It looks like demand for LCD Panels, particularly larger sizes and higher quality panels is going to exceed supply, and therefore it may be prudent to expect some possible shortages and price rises in 2007……
That's the word from Samsung, who says that a shortage of flat panels might reduce availability and perhaps even drive up prices next year…….

Next year? I've just had another look at the cheap £116 Dabs LCD I was going to get and it's gome up by £8 in one day. My just be coincidence, mind....
I was looking at the SAMSUNG 205 20" from PC World (web site) yesterday at £209.99 and today it's gone up to £229.99!
Arse. Here I was waiting for the prices to go down before xmas....
... well instant increases on panels they already have in stock is them having a laught at our expense.
They are probably reacting early to the comment from Samsung to take additional profit on currently in stock items..... shop arround!

Agreed. Luckily I bought my 22" before the price went up as a shop assistant warned me it would.
