x9150 pro would be my choice, just cause i prefer ati.

What games do you play?
What games and what size monitor/res?
is it still nvidia in the lead for better frames in detail, and ati wins the frame rates on lower detail? or has this all changed over the past year ive not been keeping up!!
I'd go for the cheaper one myself, and upgrade to a DX 10 card later maybe?
It's been the other way around for a while now - nV can hold their own at 'standard' settings, but the further you pump up the AA and AF, and at higher resolutions, the ATis generally pull away. What you gain in frames though, you lose in heat and power consumption though (X1950 Pro less so), so it's what suits you best.
All considered, I'd be having me a 1950 Pro too.
7900gs seems really good value and is what 125pounds and on hexus you can get free delivery member?

I've got a 7900GS, fast, cheap and above all, its so quiet!
Just got a 1950pro for a rig i built for a mate on friday. Fantastic card and chugging away nicely with an A64 4000+ on a 400w enermax liberty.
Both are extreme values for money, and very overclockable to get on par with XT(ATi) or GT(Nvidia) standards.
I would go with the x1950 though![]()
x1950Pro, ATI are leading at the moment.
Both are great cards, so the answer will really depend on what games you are wanting to play. Different engines favour different cards.
I would go for the ati one, though not at the expense of sacrificing other hardware to get the money.
