    Angry 4ns ram only working at 445mhz.

    Just got a leadtek winfast a340 tdh. Basically an FX5200 with 4ns ram, but the goddarn thing will only goto 445 any higher and pink bits start showing up on the desktop.

    Are you sure its 445 DDR speed its showing or could it actually be 890MHz DDR speed ??

    Well 3.6ns RAM is only rated up to 500Mhz DDR, so 445Mhz on 4ns doesn't sound that far off....

    Can't find an actual conversion thing at the moment to work it out though....

    in all the reviews ive read that mention the ns value they have said that 5ns correpsonds to 400mhz and 4ns to 500mhz. and my old card with 4ns worked at 540.

    did a quick search , 3.6ns appears to be 550mhz.

    1000/4 x2 = 500... should run at 500mhz ddr

    equation = 1000/ ns of ram *2 if its ddr

    Shouldn't need them, especially as it isn't even running at stock speeds......

    thats not stock speen tho ,its only the max those ram chips are rated to run at ,which they will only do if the card is of high enough quality to do so

    bare in mind its an fx5200 which is a budget card ie cheap!
