    Graphics card for media center

    Hey

    Iam looking for a PCI-E graphics card for a media center, iam looking for something good enough to play all good games on aswell as watch my movies.

    Depends on your budget,theres passive versions of most nvidia cards right up to the 7950GT though which will give you plenty of grunt. 7600GT will play most things too.

    if we're talking linux based media centers (and we should be, grap a copy of knoppmyth if not) then DO NOT BUY AN ATI CARD. though you'd probably already know that. otherwise, you might not wanna go with the fastest stuff available (fast = hot = more cooling = bigger/faster fans = noise). I've seen some passively cooled 7600 gs's that would be great if you have pci-e. also take note of any hdcp compatibility.

    I am not going Linux, it will be a windows system, i will look into the cards suggested here.

    Get the lastest AIW, that way, you can capture video and everything you need in one card, plus, its strong enough to play lastest games
