    Unhappy need advise about a 7800 gtx 512mb

    hi i was wanting some help,my 7800gtx 512 has blown up,i had fitted a arctic cooling nv5 ver3 to it and it was running on a tagan 580watt easycon psu.the psu has been back to be tested at tagan(all ok they say).but when the 7800gtx went wrong the psu and card smelt of burning.can anybody give me advice on what went wrong.ive built loads of pcs and never had this problem bfore

    I've no idea why your card was fried but were you overclocking your card heavily when it happened?(with voltage mod?)Your best bet would be to put your original heatsink back and send it back to your card manufacturer if it's more than a year old. If you're lucky you might get a replacement card. If it's under a year old try the shop first though.

    nope the card has never been overclocked .il try refitting the org cooler and sending it back ty for the advice
