    is going from a x800xl to a 1800xl worth it?

    Depends if the games you play can take advantage of SM3.0. If they can, then yes, worth it.

    BF2 will probably be much better on the x1800xl.

    You won't see much difference with CS:S though.

    Always get the best card that you can afford for your money, but yes the x1800xl is an improvement on your old one

    i wouldnt bother tbh, u can play bf2 and css with wit hthe card u have as long as u havve a good cpu and css loves a good cpu more than gfx card. If u can, wait for the DX10 cards and / or to a whole system build

    why an x1800XL? there super End of line tbh!!

    maybe an x1800XT maybe worth considering, or an x1950pro veyr good bang per buck
