    Smile Gainward 6800GS 512meg vx X800XT PE vs 6600GT

Hey all, just been browsing another forum and come across an AGP Gainward 6800GS 512meg. Would this be a worthwhile upgrade from my X800XT PE as a last gasp before i rebuild next year and go PCI-E?, or should i just upgrade the kids 6600GT with it?. Its been a while since i dabbled in gfx cards so i'm unsure of the actual performance of the Gainward jobbie...

to be honest there is very little difference - could see if its one of the original ones and see if you can unlock the pipes with it but its pretty close otherwise

I'd say save your £'s and get some booze for new years instead

The 6800 isn't going to provide any real tangible difference between that and the x800.

And I'm guessing the kids are content with the 6600GT in their PC? It's not a bad GPU in all honesty.
