    is it just me or this 7900GT huge?? never seen one like this before, any one shed any light?

    That looks normal to me.

    Consider this:

    Take off half the ram and the big cooler and you're there

    I wouldn't say it was that big.

    I just bought one of * these *, though obviously not at that price (they were 163 quid over Christmas). Couldn't tell from the picture that it was dual slot width, but it certainly doesn't seem that big when installing it. Looks like they both cmoe from the same reference design.

    Perhaps the heatsink/fan being really close to the backplate makes it look like it has miles of PCB at the other end.

    I remember my voodoo 5, now that was silly big at the time :/
    Took quite a bit of fiddling around to get it to fit.

    hmmm, ya i think thats it. still looks smaller than my xfx 7900gt.
