ati x800gto problem
hi,
i bought an ATI x800gto from ideal computing a while ago (they had them on for £40 or so)
anyway, i got mine, put it in and had a few graphics glitches (the odd polygon missing, some being stretched right across the screen)
so this weekend i have finally got around to formatting my machine and reinstalling everything, only to find i have the same problem.
the machine is a s393 xp3700, 1gb ram, dfi lanparty UT RDX200CF-DR, akasa 400w paxpower psu, 200gb hard disk, xp sp2 and all updates.
i mainly play wow and the problems are frequent there, just shoved 3dmark onto the machine and get odd errors there.
i;m thinking its a duff card, but any other suggestions i can try?

Yup, it certainly sounds like a dodgy card. I reckon it's worth getting a replacement. Seems the GPU is corrupted and/or the fan is not working properly/not seated over the chip to cool it sufficiently.
You could try running ATi Tools

Sounds like a over heating prob, get it rma'd and replaced.
