Dell Ultrasharp E207WFP

Ive been looking at this monitor for gaming (graphics card is a 8800GTS) Any better over the 2007WFP?

Could I also use it as a screen for my PS3 with its HDCP support?

PS3 doesn't have HDCP enabled right now does it?

The 2005WFP is a better screen all-round afaik

the ps3 has hdcp via the hdmi cable does it not?

that dell monitor isnt as good as the 2007wfp, hence why its cheaper (its a TN+ panel, so only 16.2m colours)

Are Blu-Ray discs HDCP enabled then?

This monitor would be getting input via component or VGA (if the PS3 has that) so then HDCP would be useless would it not? Or would the discs just not play?

ps3 has the capability to do hdcp over hdmi, but it'll probably only be done for movies, and its down to the producer of the disk as to whether its included or not - most for the next few years won't be, as early hd plasmas didnt have hdmi, so can't support that content..

    The E207 isn't very good - I'd avoid it.

Dell have just released their E version of a 22" panel today, I was going to buy it over the 2007wfp I ordered today because its just over £300, but I wanted the inputs.

Yeah the 2007wfp is a great monitor, i love the fact you can rotate it 90 Degrees and thats good for playing MAME games Was going to try and get the 2407wfp but the price at the time was too much (~£600). the E207 is a TN panel which i would avoid, my last monitor was a TN panel, and it was ok but not as good a quality screen as this 2007wfp and you can get one for about £260 now so theres no reason not to pay that extra £60 for a much better screen!
