Just wondering if it's possible and if so if it looks any good or is blurry? If so does anyone have pictures?

You may as well play at half-res 1280*800. I suppose if you run at 3/4 resolution it should look reasonably well.
May be try running 1200x900 resolution on your 2001FP and see how it looked like?
