    Sli question

    I've looked quite hard for the answer, but to no Avail.
    I've got a Leadtek 7950gt 256mb at the mo, and I've noticed all the prices dropping due to the 8800. I'm just wondering about the constraints of SLI. Do the cards both have to be the same manufacturer, ie leadtek? Also, if I got a 512MB card this time round, would I be able to use this with the 256MB card? Cheers for the help!

    You can mix'n'match vendors and memory sizes.

    I beleive both cards will limit themselves to the lowest GPU and memory clock speeds as well as the lowest RAM size.

    thats all correct. although you can of course overclock but both the cards need to be able to reach the desired speed
