    cheapest way to SLI

OK for a mod I am planning I am interested in the cheapest pair of compatible sli cards - performance don't matter at this point - its more a proof of concept thing than performance (But may improve cards later- Its a 1U size case - watercooled etc. So I also need to know if flexible top links are available or if the more solid types have to be used.

if your looking at buying brand new then i think the geforce 7300gt's are the cheapest sli compatible cards, there around £40 each and actually pack a fair punch in sli, think you could probably find a pair of 2nd hand 6600gt or something though for little cheaper.

cheers - initially power would be making the choice as prefer they run off internal psu - obviously if/when upgraded may need to run power in to supplement cards

Look at the dabsvalue 256MB DDR3 7300GTs; they're actually Inno3D, and they are effectively cut down 7600s - see TrustedReviews. Two of those, clock the nuts off 'em.
