    how do i make a bootable system floppy?

    i am updating my bios and the instructions are to make a bootable system floppy disk

    how do i do this in XP?

    In My Computer, right click on the floppy icon, select "Format" and in the next box, put a tick in the "Make bootable" or something like that.

    You might also need to copy over some boot disk files:

    http://www.bootdisk.com/

    Edit: BTW - use the W98 or Me files over there at that link - no need for the 2000 or XP ones.

    Edit2: Most motherboard manufacturers have a utility that allows flashing in Windows.

    Yep - saved my bacon a few times before, and no need to add it to favourites with a name like that
