web Site looks different in Firefox-help?

Ive designed a site for a community centre-however when i look at the site in firefox the navigation bar looks different.

In IE the navigation bar is centered and spans accross the top of the page, however in firexfox the links start in the middle of the page, and dont center themselves accross the whole page.

Any ideas?

there is no circumstance in which IE's take on CSS is "right" and firefox's isn't

your top-left header image is pushing the text right.

install the firefox web developer toolbar, hit outline/block level elements. it shows the problem clearly

you're making the typical early css user error of shoving everything inside a thousand <div> tags. firstly, understand the difference between "block-level" and "inline" elements. then understand the difference between "<div>" and "<span>". finally, start redefining basic elements like <p> and adding on class="foo" attributes, instead of wrapping things in <div>

oh, and educate yourself on what float does

in case you want a quick fix (i'd not recommend it, you have fundamental design issues) then change float:left to position:absolute for your header image css class
