    Can anyone please advise me what laptop to consider
    for approx. £1000.00p. including VAT.

    I am considering a 17" screen with full K/Board
    2 Gb. Ram, 100Gb. plus Hdd.

    Preferably Intel Pro. 2 Duo
    I believe Toshiba are a very reputable and reliable make
    but I may be advised otherwise.

    I am by no means a laptop expert in any sense but to me this looks good stuff http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/124799

    I don't think you will get the specs you want with 17" for 1k

    Inspiron 9400. If you call up DELL business section, you can often get some money off if you haggle or upgrades added for free. Just depends on the person on the other end.

    i too am bitterly dissapointed at the lack of oaty cakes, which dont actually sound too tasty now i think about it.
