hey just wondering if you guys know anyway of loading software or even OS onto normal PC RAM? Since SSD are kinda expensive it won't be too bad to load some small program into the RAM if you have like 4GB of it.

yeah.. but how am i supose to make use of it? if there is no software out there to put the data into the RAM so that it can be used as a hard disk...
windows has basic ramdisk functionality. linux will happily load the os from ram thoughQuote:

Works like a charm. Requires a wee bit of DOS usage to mount the folder in question to RAM, and creates a settings file in the root of your C drive, which you need to keep there - otherwise the RAM disk is unformatted at each bootup, and needs formatting.
Really good tool, saved my HD from thrashing.
