yep but going out and buying a standard IDE drive wont fit, you must ask for 2.5" PATA drive, not SATA

Im going to buy a 2.5 external enclosure suppoting IDE is that OK?

can you explain what your trying to do ?

it now sounds like you just want to add an external hard drive ?

if thats the case all you need is a USB2 external drive ??
