    Question Lenovo Presentation Director...

    Hey Guys,

    One of my clients has her Lenovo X60 laptop hooked up to a 19" samsung widescreen (1440x900 resolution), and she wants to be able to switch between using the laptop display while she's 'mobile' and then using the monitor when she's in the office.

    Lenovo package a useful program with their laptops, as did IBM before they got bought out, which means you just hit Fn+F7 and you can choose what to do with your displays.

    We want to enable the external, and disable the lcd. this is fine, except that we are stuck with a pathetic choice of resolutions, 800x600/1024x760/1280x1024 only... I've had a google and all I could find was this which talks about adding custom resolutions, but only works with the IBM version - the lenovo one seems to use a completely different registry setup - using 'ScreenMode' values rather than a hexidecimal string...

    Does anyone have any experience of this program, or a workaround, cos 1280x1024 on the widescreen looks really ugly...

    Just Done a quick google and I've read this:

    <2.53>
    -(New) Add four wide screen resolutions to the external monitor
    configuration (1280x768,1280x800,1440x900,1680x1050,1920x1200).
    Note: Configurable resolutions depend on the combination of
    ThinkPad models and external displays, so some
    configurations may be unable.
    But also read that Version 2.55 adds support for the X60 laptop. I will have to check which version she has, and then perhaps email lenovo to see if there is a driver issue relating to it
