Can I delete safely out of the appdata folder without messing up my system?
For example say I have un-installed a game but some files still show up in the appdata folder are these ok to remove?

If the application has been removed and you no longer need any content from it then you can safely remove any related files from the APPDATA folder. Don't delete the whole folder though :)
I'm not sure if will find it, but CrapCleaner (http://www.ccleaner.com) is very good at cleaning stuff up, it also has a great reg cleaner built in.
I've blogged about it in the past:

Cheers for the advice both of you.
Downloaded CCleaner and it works a treat, thanks!
