    PLEASE help NTLDR error.....

    Please could someone help me.... I have a laptop and until this afternoon it's been really good, I had a NTLDR error so I tried a XP repair, that didn't work so I tried a full format and reinstalled XP, it loads up re-boots then I get the NTLDR error again....please could someone help me.....possible hard-drive fault..????

    It could be the onset of a drive failure. Try this it's helped me many times with this error;

    I tried the above, repaired NTLDR re-booted and got the NTLDR error again.....Dam
    Can I put any laptop hard-drive into my Acer laptop...at the moment I have a 80gb...can I put any make and size in...???

    yep just make sure whether its ide (pata) or sata and you're good to go.

    try booting into the repair console from the windows disk. log in and type

    thanks, I tried everything and nothing, so I bought a new hard-drive and now everythings ok, thanks for all the help.
