    Frequent Blank BSOD's

i seem to be gettin constant blank BSOD the PC would just display a blue screen and that would be it! there no text or any other identifable info so really confused, these constant BSOD's have also been my first.

these happen in both Vista and XP and dont know where to start..

the last one that happened was when i was playing Just Cause, and some even happen on desktop when playing a video or something like that, or even doing nothing at all

If it happens in Vista and XP it's something hardware most likely.

Only way to find out really, if to either start taking bits out or stressing bits. Memtest for RAM(vista has it built in btw), Ntune stability test or Ati tool constant artifact scan for graphics. Orthos small FFT's for CPU/CPU heat.

If it fails more that one then it's most likely the PSU.

ok youve been a greathelp chuckskull, i started with memtest from cd boot, and this is the screen with both 2 * 1gb corsair value sticks (both were bought seperatly and off ebay)

i dont understand what the errors mean? after that i tried one stick but it kept shutting down at around 5 mins :S so very confused and thats as far as ive got, ill try that stick again, and then try the other 1GB stick tomorow... gawd how annoying are computers

Well that most likely means your ram is borked. Try loosening the timings and upping the voltage slightly and re-run memtest.

Yup. If it's showing that at stock speeds you're buggered.

They could be. Often the default voltage is a little low. Or vdroop can appear on motherboards after a while. So try upping the voltage before RMA'ing them.

You need to test each module seperately.
both were bought seperatly and off ebay
Means that they may be different chips used in the modules so have slightly different performances.

    1) Get Thaiphoon This will let u examine the spd for each module. the spd is where the data from auto settings come from. to run stabily each module should have the same spd. you can get round this by manually setting values in bios. If the SPDs are different, manually set the timing to the slowest module.
    2) A module might be damaged, so u may find 1 runs error free the other doesn't. It does sound like the 1 wehich fails after 5 minutes is the problem 1, try increasing voltage slightly & see if it runs any better, as chuckskull said.

    luck
