ATI Catalyst control center GEEKing out.

Ok.. here's the deal.. I have an old ATI 9600. I've tried to install the newest catalyst control center to my system.. but all i get is this error:

Could not load file or assembly 'CLI.Implementation, Version=2.0.2637.38492, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=90ba9c70f846762e' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

This is coming off of a completely clean instal of XP home edition and a fresh download of the driver (with catalyst) from ATI's site. I can't think of any reason it would do this other than not having all of *** windows updates (instal disk was pre-SP2) but i have gotten all of them already.

Please help as i need this to get my system setup the way i want it. 800x600 on a 51" Hitachi tv through DVI to HDMI is really bad

You need .Net 2.0 framework.

This needs to be installed before you install the drivers, so do a clean uninstall/cleanout with driver cleaner pro, get .net 2.0, then install drivers again.
