Foriegn characters on internet pages

A colleague at work is getting Foriegn characters on internet pages using explorer, have treid firefox but get same
how can we get english text.

try:

opening IE and then clicking the tools tab, then click internet options..

then right at the bottom click languages tab..

then make englis the primary or only one at the top of the list
