Ok i fixed it..if anyone comes across this it's when you let your battery get too low or die...usb will then fail to charge it at all so it has to be done off the mains (which creative don't ship with it)

If it flashes when plugged into the usb then it has to be left plugged into the usb for a while(at least an hour). then switch it on. If it shows the charging icon then let it charge for at about 6 hours.

Easiest way to tell if ok to charge by usb is if the pc will recognise it. If is does, then it will charge.

Had same prob with mine and my dad's zen v plus(which he got at the weekend). Strangely enough, the v plus would only charge once the drivers had been installed and windows recognised it as an mtp device. Same would be true for the vision m.
I do know everything, just not all at once. It's a virtual memory problem.

Ok cheers for that. I have an old psu from my other zen so it's not much a problem.

I only got annoyed because I was trying to make sure a usb port wasnt borked as my ipod wasn't charging...and then that didn't work either..wasn't my night lol
