    Windows time screwed up

The system time always wants to set itself to 10 minutes faster than normal time. I set the time to the correct time and within a few seconds it changes itself back to being 10 minutes fast. The checkbox to sychronise to internet time isn't checked and the BIOS time is correct, any ideas what's causing it to behave like this?

Is your machine on a domain or a workgroup? If it's on a major network it could be set to synch with an NTP server.

Interesting... Do you use a modem or a router to connect to the internet? What make/model? Does that have a section for the time, and if so is it 10 minutes out by any chance?

modem is a USB thomson ST330, no settings for time as far as I'm aware.
I'm convined it's some piece of software that's doing it but have no idea what, was hoping someone on here might say "a ha, are you running blah blah software" cause it changes the time ....
Hmmm, time to stop all startup programs to see if I can weed it out.

Hrrmmm, well that shoots most of my theories out of the water. Can you post a HijackThis! log?
