    Question Help!!!

I have decide to buy a new ADSL wireless router for my laptop, as I have been having problems with my speed touch .

I just wanted to know which is the best to buy. People seem to pick Netgear.
Is it any good and value for money.

my experience with Netgear (vs Linksys in particular) is that it tends to just work with other brands of equipment, whereas my old Linksys router tends to be very picky as to which brands it allows to connect to its networks. Netgear seems to have been pretty solid for me.

It's hard to pick a 'best'

I personally recommend 3com - they've been reliable for me, compact, run cool, and have a very functional setup system.

I'd say the opposite. I've never managed to connect to a netgear router with my laptop.

I don't particualrly like Linksys either though.

D-Link has never failed me..the belkin router i've used was pretty good too..and cheap lol

One of my routers is a Netgear DG834G, which I would definately recommend to you.

I've had a range of Netgears over the years - all died (including the 834G) eventually. Netgear work great with other kit, are easy to configure (mostly) but in the end I got sick of RMA-ing or buying new units so I went with a Draytek. Pricey, but nothing really touches them for features/reliability. You pays yer money..

I can't say i've had a problem with my netgear. But then again i've never had any problems with my speedtouch either.

But netgear are meant to be ok. Although my mate couldn't pair the netgear with the wireless dongle that came with the router.
