hello,
if its a home pc then you should run some scans.
best place to start is www.superantispyware.com
download the free version update it and run a scan.
my sister had that a while ago at student acomadation internet.
after a few days the internet went down and when it came back it was back to normal.
so it seems something more upstream was infected and redirecting the websites.
what about e.g. if you search for lego in google?
just for a test.
so what is your setting?
home pc?
behind router?
or direct connection?
also you can post here
http://www.wilderssecurity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=32
for more advice.
ill check this thred later on.

Is it the same advert site all the time?
My uncle had spyware that re-directed IE to some dodgy page the first tiem he put an address in after a re-start. Subsequent addresses were fine. Googled the URL and eventually found a fix for it.
A good app for this kind of thing is Hijackthis, lets you remove things riding on the back of IE.
Ok, looks like youve been Browser Hijacked...
Lets start off, have you ran any anti-spyware/virus tools? If not run some eg: Ad-Aware Spybot to name a few free ones.
Ok as mentioned HijackThis is a program that views start up programs, processes, BHO, ActiveX and basically everything (No private data is logged though)
Grab a copy:http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/programs.php
Give it a download, extract it to a directory other than your desktop. Run the program --> Click "Scan and save log file"
Now let it scan, DO NOT CLICK FIX SELECTED do not do anything other than copy and paste the ENTIRE log file here.
Once its posted ill analyse it as best i can, and give you steps on fixing the problem.
