    Exclamation 8800GTX temps...

Erm, well, I was playing RS:V the other day, and i noticed that it was having some trouble, because when i looked out of a window, it was just black, not of Las Vegas city
Well, i minimised the game and opened up NVIDIA Monitor, and my gfx card temps were at 75C!!! Is this normal? (i.e. not is it within the 'allowed' range, but do any other people get temps this high? could this be why the card was not rendering the stuff properly?

    Thanks

BTW its a vanilla flavoured, non-overclocked version

I would expect it to be around that, my 8800GTS OC2 BFG card is currently at 59 degrees idle.

Indeed just tried it on STALKER, was up to 74 within a few mins of playing.

More wierd though is the NVidia monitor reporting a GPU of 580 and Memory of 850, when it should be 580 + 1700. Hmmm whats going on.

Yeah those temps are about right, a lot better than many others too.

@Matt D 8800's seems to be weird with shipping clocks. I've played with 4 now and they've all had weird standard clocks.

As far as I've it's just they were rushed out rather than being fautly, any bog standard overclocking app will put the clocks right again. ATiTool, being my fave.
