It will be under your user on your machine under documents and settings. Just save the bookmarks/favourites directory away.
Not sure about the avant browser.

Most browsers have the option File > Export > Favourites (I know IE definately has this). Then just save the file and keep it somewher safe. When you reinstall windows, just import your old favourites back in.
In Avant, it might be under Bookmarks > Manage Bookmarks > Export like it is in Firefox, but ive never used Avant before.
Yeap
Thanx sitalchauhan
File > Export Bookmarks to a local file
i ve never seen it before
If you were using firefox.. ..you could get foxmarks and a free account and have your bookmarks atomatically synchronised at close to a server so that you only have to login to regain your bookmarks on a reinstall.
i am using avant browser for a couple of years and i am very satisfied
i ve never used the firefox. Does it worth it???
I'd swear by it, it truly is the best browser and i have tryed plenty: IE7, opera, netscape and more!! but firefox has always been the best in my opinion.
My recommended add-ons:
Fasterfox:
Makes multiple connections to servers, a must-have for anyone with broadband so basically a must have.
Foxytunes:
Displays song information and media controls for tonnes of different media players.
Foxmarks:
Create a free account then have your bookmarks synchronised onto a server on the inernet and never lose your favourites again.
DownThemAll!:
Simple download manager that integrates into firefox allowing you to download with a download manager in the same method as a normal download simply by changing a radio button selection.
Download Statusbar:
Gets rid of the annoying standard download manager when not using DownThemAll due to incompatible servers.
I shall add descriptions and links later today, i'm a little busy atm.
I initially used forefox because it loaded very quick and very easy to use as it didnt have any extra useless features. If you wanted any extra features, you could always get the extra extensions.
However, recently firefox has started to get more and more features as standard built in, causing it to use more memory, but it is still an excellent browser
I have tried opera, IE and firefox, and prefer to use firefox. However, have never tried avant before.
Try firefox and see what you think of it. I am certain that you will find it better than IE, but its up to you wether you want to make the switch from Avant or you would prefer to keep using avant as you have been using it for so long :)
