    Thanks for all the suggestions guys but i have tried everything under the sun and just cannot get it working.

    As a solution would a soundcard work, OR would the soundcard need these drivers to make it run...

    if not would something like this do:

    bearing in mind that it is only my mums work PC that is an 4 year old athlon rig, that my bro uses for light gaming. with 2.1 speakers
