It's because you've got Vista and an Nvidia graphics card. Apparently updating the graphics card drivers fixes it, though I'm just reading what other people are saying, I have neither Vista nor the game so I know nothing first hand.

You can give me my money here.

All you have to do is find out what graphics card your running (by going into device manager or mabye on the welcome Vista screen might tell you).

Then go to Nvidia website, download the latest driver for the gfx card you have.

also try installing a latest game patch if there is one from games website somewhere.

but its likely that youll just have to wait untill its fully vista supported

    Thats probably the problem.

Card is possibly overheating. Ensure adequate ventilation in Case.

It's probobly the vista gpu driver conflict, but just as a try i had a similar prob with C&C3, try swithing off the internet and then turning your firewall off. I was running norton at the time and it's almost not this if your running somthing else.
