LANPARTY UT NF4 SLI-DR Expert problems

Ok so for a while now I have been having the odd stability issues with this motherboard but recently it has got worse.
If I run 3dmark 2001 or aquamark it locks and reboots as soon as it trys to run the test (I know my card isnt a gaming card but it should still run?)
If I run Sisoft full burn in the machine shuts down, and generaly if I run folding it locks eventualty.
I managed to get 8 hours of Orthos yesterday by disabling both onboard nics but as soon as I reneabled ether it started locking up again.
Now I think its something in the bios but the bios on this board is so complex I dont know where to start, I have loaded optimal defaults and this doesnt work so will try fail safe tonight.
Also oddly enough if I use the yellow memory slots the machine just beeps and wont boot but using the orange ones seems fine?

    Specs :

    Opteron 165
    2x 512mb Kingston Valueram PC3200
    XFX 7100GS vid card
7 hard drives (makes no difference if these are removed)
    Sony DVD drive
    Akasa 460 watt PSU

Help before it goes out the window

Sorry to sound daft but what're NICs? Does it just refer to things like the onboard sound / LAN?

Also which BIOS version are you running?

You're sure you have all the power leads plugged in to the board? I had one of these boards, and it was really fussy that all 4 (if I remember correctly) ports were plugged in. It needs additional molex power supplies on the mobo itself.

Only 3 on that board, the 2 atx and a floppy connector, and there all plugged in.

Might be worth having a look over here:

    http://www.diy-street.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=49

Used to be dfi-street.com - the official DFI support forum, but apparently one of the mods upset DFI so they no longer sponsor it. It still has LOTS of useful info though.
