Basic system:
E6600 2.4ghz,
Quad GT mobo,
2 gig Corsair 533,
GTS 8800,
Audigy 2,
Razer Boomslang 2100,
Win XP Pro.
All drivers are up to date etc, latest firmware.
If I run the system standard or just overclock the GFX, BF2 runs fine, no problems whatsoever. Silky smooth at about 100fps under most conditions. However, if I overclock the CPU up to 2.7ghz (310x9) I start to get a strange issue when mouselooking around.
Lets say you're looking directly north, and spin a 180 turn to look south. The initial response is spot on and you'd find yourself looking south. However, a split second later you'd find yourself looking south east or south west depending upon which way you had turned. It's as if something can't quite keep up. I've not noticed this kind of behaviour with any other game, but to be honest, BF2 (well, Project Reality Mod) is my main game at the moment, so this is annoying to say the least. For the moment I guess I don't really need the overclock, but it'd still be nice for a bit of extra grunt as and when, without the control issues.
Anyone got any suggestions to help?
