Sony Dvd Rw Dw-q28a Problem

Hi there, I would appreciate any help that I can be given in regard to my SONY DVD RW DW-Q28A.

Hardware manager has trouble installing this device and states that

'Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device.'

I recently formatted my PC, and lost all my drivers for everything so the process of sorting out my PC has been slow. Although, this device up untill today had been working correctly, it is a recent occurence. I have searched online, and with the official sony website but have found nothing conclusive. Any ideas?

is this internal or external? If internal, maybe you need some new atapi drivers, but it's been years since I've needed to update IDE optical drive's drivers :|

The driver is indeed internal, which is why I am so perplexed by the situation. Thanks 'budding' for the link but unfortunately I have tried this site previously and there is no file to download when I go through the links.

Any other suggestions?
