USB Switch with Priority Function

Hi chaps.

I'm trying to work out how to have a PC plugged into a USB switch but that hands priority to a laptop that may perhaps be plugged in later.

It's for a smartboard that's to be used by teaching staff... most will use the dedicated desktop PC but some wish to use a laptop.

Just trying to achieve the best solution with the least amount of hassle for the user.

Any thoughts guys?

Or use a USB extension lead to run into the back of the PC such that it can be disconnected at an easily accessible point and the laptop connected instead.
