Video sending? Solution wanted !
Wondering if anyone has any ideas...
I have been asked to find a solution to the following :
A GP clinic want's to have three LCD displays showing information for the patients.
Origianaly I was going to use video-senders to transmit from a central PC a powerpoint presentation that the staff could update themselves.
Problem is, I'm not allowed to use 2.4Ghz devices, as they might interfere with medical equipment.
I know there are 5ghz devices, but I can't find one that would allow me to transmit to more than one destination.
We have been quoted about 7K to put in a bespoke system, but I'm hoping to find a better way...
Thanks

Does it have to be wireless?
A wires solution would be much easier and cheaper, it would aldo be les prone to interference etc.

The rooms are spread out over the building, and it would be a real pain putting in the cabling.
There is, however, structured cabling, so an IP based device could be an option....

I know that HP make KVM units that run over CAT5. They have KVM dongles on them that run into a CAT5 cable. You may be able to buy these dongles to use over the patching?
Re: Video sending? Solution wanted !
Gr44, we have some of them in our server racks. The problem with the hp kvm units is they work on a many to one basis, wheras i need a one to many. I dont think they do one that would allow you to attach multiple screens to one source...
