Windows Media Centre Trouble
I was just wondering if anyone can help me with Windows Media Centre that I'm running on Windows Vista Ultimate. Some of the channels just stop working after I've been watching for more than an hour or so. Its really strange because some channels still work though not all of them. If I plug a normal tv into the aerial everything works fine. Has anyone else had this problem? Any advice would be much appreciated.
Re: Windows Media Centre Trouble
What TV card are you using. Some specifications for your pc would be helpful as it sounds like a hardware issue.
Re: Windows Media Centre Trouble
Is it possible that you're leaving the PC inactive for over an hour, and a screensaver or power-saving thingy is kicking in and messing you around?
Re: Windows Media Centre Trouble
Does it continue to record for more than an hour, if you're not watching a channel? If so play it back in Media Player and see what the quality's like - it'll determine whether it's signal/hardware related or a software problem.
Re: Windows Media Centre Trouble
Thanks guys for all your help. My specs are
Intel Core 2 duo E6400
Asus P5B deluxe
MSI nvidia 7600GS (passively cooled)
2 GB Geil PC2-6400
AverTV Hybrid + FM PCI
It's definitely not a screensaver, the channel stops and brings up a screen saying no signal. There is definitely signal as a normal tv works fine. I think it may be a heat issue as the graphics card and tv card are getting very hot. This would also make sense with the fact that the signal lasts an even shorter period if i am recording. What do you think?
