    Nforce680i and aftermarket HS

Hey, first time here so bear with me!

Just bought an Inno3D 680i SLI mobo for my new gaming rig Im building, but i know i'll be disappointed with the stock cooler, so i was thinking of buying one of the big radial HS out there (thermaltake blue orb II, the zalman ones with 120mm fans), the only problem is, from the pictures of certain makes of the chipset (including the Inno 3D), the CPU mounting plate looks a little high up towards the PSU (EVGA is the only one that looks like a normal mounting position, BFG and Inno3D are both up towards the edge).

So ultimatly i dont know whether an aftermarket quiet HS will fit

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this and could help me out!

    Cheers in advance

    Darc

Usually Zalman has a good diagram of the cooler on thier website that shows how much clearlance is necessary to fit that thing in. Maybe you should check that before buying? BTW welcome to the forums.

I have an EVGA 680i mobo and have installed a Zalman 9700LED with relative ease...
