    OCZ GameXStream Copped it?

    System:
    Asus P5N32-E SLI NF680i SLI, S 775, PCI-E (x16), DDR2 533/667/800, SATA II, SATA RAID, ATX
    Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 "LGA775 Kentsfield" 2.40GHz (1066FSB) - Retail
    4x1GB DDR2 800
    2x 500 Gb Seagate ST3500641AS Barracuda 7200.9, SATA300, 7200 rpm, 16MB Cache, 8.2 ms, NCQ
    2xExtra Value Nvidia 8800GTX 768MB GDDR3 Dual DVI PCI-E Graphics Card OEM
    2xNEC Optiarc AD-7170S-0S 18x DVD±RW/DL/RAM Serial ATA Silver - OEM
    OCZ GameXStream 700W PSU - 120mm Fan SLI Ready ATX12v v2.2
Thermaltake Soprano VB1000SWS Silver Mid-Tower Case with Side Window - No PSU
    Custom Wcing
Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium x64Bit OEM 1PK DVD

The system does not power on, even with only mobo (24+8) and the GPU plugged in. It did however give a bit of a stutter to life when I fiddled around with the GPU power cables. (Moved the molex - PCI-E adapters to native PCI-E adapters. (Only one 8800 GTX in atm).

When the system turned on , the GTX was at full fan like a normal boot, but the PSU's fan was very very dim, and the pump was only getting a tiny trickle of power. When the GTX's fan calmed down the pump got its full power, yet the PSU's fan still sounded meh. The whole thing looked like a post, but wasn't at my station to actually see anything (ie only at a power outlet).

I've tested with a few other GTXs, similar results, and also when plugged in a 2nd identical PSU (24+8) the system look like it should, ie PSU leds on full, and the GTX's siren warning about low power (PCI-Es not in).

So, sound like the original PSU has died/never lived?

Sounds like the PSU like you say..double and triple check the motherboard power connectors are perfectly plugged in. (I had to straighten a power pin when i bought my mobo and it was doing a similar thing).

    Good luck.
