    Re: Worried abou CPU Temp

Just put an exhaust fan on the back for now. Don't bother with an intake I'd say. Pulling air through is more useful than pushing air in.

I'd imagine you'll be fine with the stock intel cooler when you reseat it properly. And that side vent will be feeding cool air straight into the cpu cooler, which is nice.

    Re: Worried abou CPU Temp

Wont a Rear Exaust fan next to the intake fan on heat sink pull all the air from it and the side vent...?
Will that be ok? i think i read somewhere air should not be pulled from the HS or sumthing like this..

    Re: Worried abou CPU Temp

you should put the rear fan as exhaust, and to fit a side fan it looks like you need to remove that tube

    Re: Worried abou CPU Temp

I got a rear exaust fan and a Coolmaster Thermal compund Kit HTK-002 as the guy was out of AS5..

Have installed the rear fan and applied the new thermal compound..
Now iv closed the cabinet and Temps are as follws :

There are immediately after appling the compound
    CPU : 46 - 50C
    Internal Temp - 35C
    Remote Temp 41 - 43C
    HD0 - 34C
    Core0 - 40-44C
    Core1 - 40-44C

    Fan1:934RPM
(The other rear fan i got iv plugged it directly into PSU)

    +2.5v: 1.26V
    VCore: 1.18V
    +3.3V: 3.32V
    +5V: 5.20V
    +12V: 12.38V

Are these immediate results after appling a fresh thermal compund normal?
Will temp further drop after some time?.. Cuz it said on some site that the compound requires 200 cycles for optimal results..

AND A BIG THANKS TO ALL YOU GUYS WHO HELPED...

    Re: Worried abou CPU Temp

Hi... you mentioned you live in Dehli. What's the ambient temperature over there? These temps might be on the high side because it's like... 35 Degs C over there or something (a quick look at BBC weather has just confirmed that this is in fact true!). Your heatsink and case fans are doing a truly excellent job of keeping your CPU cores as cool as 45C, if the ambient is at 35C. Or are you in an air-conditioned room?

Either way, you seem to have a small improvement over what you mentioned before... about 3 Degs C if I compare to your first post. I wouldn't worry too much more about it. Your computer is running a little hot, but it can run a good 10C hotter before you are going to run into any real problems. I think you're just getting worried because you've been comparing your temps to other people's processor temps in the UK, where the ambient is more like 20C - it makes a big difference.

    Re: Worried abou CPU Temp

hmm.. True there quite a lot of diff in the climate here and in uk

Tday the temp outside was around 30C as its been raining.. When im home the A/C is on but im out for most of day.. but with the A/C turned on the temps drop a further 3C

Im going to buy a XFX 8600 GTS in a week or so.. Will that push the temps higher?
If yes, buying an intake fan will help?

When i went to nehru place(Asia's biggest IT/Computer Market) yesterday,

    A Coolermaster CPU Heat Sink - GeminII (RR-CCH-ANU2-GP) was for Rs 3600 / 87.5 USD / 43.5Pounds

    http://www.coolermaster.com/products...bcate=1&id=140

    And a Kingston 1gig 667Mhz DDR2 Ram for Rs 1400 /17.5 Pound / 35 USD

How is this priced according to the UK Market.. Should i buy the new heatsink?
