    Vista lack of 5.1

    I have a Creative 5.1 speaker system running through my mobos (Asus M2N32 SLI Deluxe) onboard sound chip (Soundmax Integrated Digital HD). I have Vista Ultimate x64 running in a dual boot config with XP Pro x64. XP uses all 6 speakers when playing mp3s using Win media player but Vista will only use the sub and L / R channels yet the speaker config in the control panel in Vista correctly sees and tests all 6 speakers...

    Am I missing something here?

    No doubt the soundcard driver/software has it's own config panel, is that set to 5.1?
