Razer diamond back, c&c3, VISTA 64BIT!

Guys i thought i would give vista ultimate 64bit a try....boy do i regret it. Hopefully you can help.

Installed it, installed mobo drivers etc went on fine, sound drivers fine, mouse drivers...not so fine, they install but if i open the razer utility to config my mouse no matter what buttons i set nothing changes, cant use the side buttons to navigate > and < like i can on XP, basically the extra buttons do not work or let me change them.

    Another...

Fresh install of C&C3, running a 8800gt card and a nice spec machine i get an error along the lines of " directx error, please make sure you have direct x 9 installed and/or you haven't got hardware acceleration enabled in the options " summit like that, either way wont load up.

    HELP

I have Vista x64Ultimate & a ms Habu by Razer. Up until the latest driver/utility release I coldn't change the dpi or polling rate without the utility hanging on me. Now using Driver version2.12 & firmware version 2.03 7 everything's sorted. Have you got the latest drivers & firmware loaded?

" directx error, please make sure you have direct x 9 installed and/or you haven't got hardware acceleration enabled in the options "

In vista 32 I think they also, alongside DX10, installed DX9.5 so older (some not so old) games could still be played. In vista 64 I think it is DX10 or nothing, so compatability with some games is not as good.

Apparently the game uses Securom7 which is known to not work in Vista x64. However, I have read on diff fora that it is poss to run C&C on vista64, take a look on this thread Support Forums : 64-bit Windows Vista Information and ... it may be able to help.
