    Seagate phone number

Im sure I am being stupid but I cannot seem to find a phone number to call Seagate. The one they have on their website is 00-800-4732-4283 which is either dead or not in use. Am I being stupid or is there another number I can call them on?

    Thanks

Thats an international number - sure you can dial them on your phone? Some block them unless you request them to be opened.

    Re: Seagate phone number

I have tried that number with several phones and none recognised the number. I have used the US number and called that, however it was little use. I am still stuck without any packaging to send back my hard drive in. Hmmm....

It is on the same page as the 00800 number you quoted earlier. I think 31 is the Netherlands, but certainly Northern europe and the number is listed as a European support centre.

    Re: Seagate phone number

Technically speaking, 00-800-4732-4283 is an international free phone number, you are not charged for the call... And it works for me...

I had occasion to use Seagate support about 6 months ago my self, that number was answered by a chap called Bryce who certainly sounded like he was in California from his accent...

Very odd it's not working for you... when I call it, I get a click, then it goes quiet for a second, then I get a ringing tone, it's not like a UK ringing tone, but it does connect, and it does ring.. for me...

Email them at DiscSupport@seagate.com and tell them you are having trouble contacting them, I'm sure they will help, I found their support to be first class.

    Good luck.

    Re: Seagate phone number

It seems my room phone cannot do it as it is based on an NTL university line, my mobile cannot do it and just does not connect. In addition I tried in a phone booth (first time I have been in one in 8 years!!!!) and that didnt work either.

Ill send them an email instead,

    Thanks everyone.
